SHIPPING POLICIES

Shipping and return policies are subject to change at any time and without prior warning. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order for any reason

Sanderling Design primarily ships with USPS and UPS. If you choose Standard Free Shipping, it is at our discretion whether items will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail or UPS Ground. Tracking information will be provided to you with any shipping option. If you need to request a specific shipping carrier please let us know during check-out or email us within 24 hours of purchase at sales@sanderlingdesignco.com with your order number.

Orders that contain various products may ship separately in multiple packages from us or our vendor partners. You will receive email notifications with tracking information for all packages shipped for your order.

For Domestic Shipping orders, a signature confirmation is NOT required upon delivery unless specifically requested by the client during the order process. We will add signature confirmations complimentary to your order if it is specifically requested prior to shipping.

Depending on your order amount and insurance, we may require a signature confirmation upon delivery and will communicate this to you before proceeding.

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING 

Sanderling Design does offer International Shipping. All customs import duty and taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser. See Below for more information.

Sanderling Design primarily ships internationally with DHL and UPS.

Our International Shipping is offered to our clients at a Premium rate. This is due in part to the fast and secure shipping, which are provided to us at the shipping carrier's Premium shipping costs. We value the nature of our irreplaceable products and will only ship our artwork originals through the most reliable, traceable and efficient services for our International parcels. Shipping to most countries takes between 5-10 business days depending on final destination and if no delays occur within customs.

A signature confirmation will be required upon delivery.

For insurance reasons, we DO NOT ship to the following countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, North Korea, Paraguay, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Venezuela.

 

TIMING

Sanderling Design ships Monday through Friday and we observe major US holidays. We understand that deadlines are of extreme importance. If you have a date for us to keep in mind, please let us know in your order form or through email at sales@sanderlingdesignco.com. Please include your order number. Rush fee’s apply to certain products and depending on your deadline. 

All Shipping delivery times listed during the Check-Out process are approximated. Regular ship times for non-personalized custom order items are 5-10 business days. Please allow for a built-in cushion of extra time in the event that the shipping process you select is delayed by the carrier, and especially during Holiday season.

 

RUSH ORDERS 

If you need your product or order to be rushed to meet your deadline please reach out to sales@sanderlingdesignco.com. We will provide you with a rush order quote and timeline to keep in mind on our end. Rush order quotes and timelines will vary depending on the product or service being ordered and are subject to accessibility in our calendar. Rush orders can include the Sanderling Design rush fee, rush fees obtained by our suppliers, and upgraded rush shipping for your order. 

 

EXCHNAGE & RETURN POLICIES

SHIPPING ADDRESS CHANGE INFORMATION

We are not liable for wrong information given to us when shipping information is asked at check-out point. If you do not provide the correct shipping address, we are not required to issue a refund. Please make sure all your shipping information is correct before finalizing your order. If it is not correct or you need to make changes to it please contact us immediately with your order number at sales@sanderlingdsignco.com. We cannot guarantee an address change for some items shipped from our vendor partners, but will do our best to reach out to them in this time frame to fulfill your request. 

Items cannot be rerouted once they have shipped. Buyers are responsible for either retrieving the items from the old address or repurchasing items to have them reshipped to the new address.

IF AN ITEM IS RETURNED TO US DUE TO AN UNACCEPTED ADDRESS, THE BUYER MUST RE-PURCHASE SHIPPING. Buyers are responsible for reordering the items.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel your order, please contact us within 24 hours with your order number at sales@sanderlingdesignco.com. We cannot guarantee cancellation for some items shipped from our vendor partners, but will do our best to reach out to them in this time frame to fulfill your request.

 

LATE & LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS

Once a package leaves our studio, we are not responsible for any problems or delays with the shipping carrier that may arise. We do not provide refunds for late-arriving packages. If you are having trouble, please contact us and we will advise you how to contact the shipping carrier for support. If your order is lost/stolen in the mail please message us ASAP and contact your local post office and authorities so we can work on tracking the shipment. Orders may be replaced after the shipping carrier has conducted an investigation.

 

EXCHANGES & REPLACEMENTS

The customer is responsible for inspecting their order upon arrival and informing us within 48 hours with any concerns with the delivered items, no exceptions. Please send photo evidence of damage to the package and its contents for us to best file a claim with the USPS, UPS, or DHL. We cannot replace items reported damaged without photo evidence. Customers are responsible for all RETURN and RE-DELIVERY shipping costs at their expense, if they wish to have it adjusted in any manner. We accept exchanges (for a different size or color option) on Prints only, within 14 days of delivery.

 

RETURNS & REFUNDS

We do not accept returns for items, except Prints and Cards within 14 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for covering the postal fees for returns. Items must be received in the exact same condition to receive a refund.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we CANNOT issue refunds or for the following items:

  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Digital downloads
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

 

CUSTOMS IMPORT DUTY & TAXES

Please be aware that Sanderling Design Company is not liable for any customs clearance fees in your country, nor are we responsible for holding times of packages by customs.

Our prices in our online shop do not include relevant overseas duties and other customs taxes or charges you may incur when purchasing and importing our art to your country.

These costs are determined by your local customs office and are outside of our control. Please familiarize yourself with your country's customs charges and levies prior to placing an order.

Sanderling Design Company is not responsible if customers are not notified by their country's postal authority that items are awaiting payment of customs duties and taxes. Please keep an eye on your shipment when tracking information is provided to you, in order to avoid delays.

If you choose to reject/refuse delivery of your order due to customs fees, we are not obligated to refund your purchase due to your refusal. This is non-negotiable.
