Last May we headed to the West Coast for a wedding set in beautiful Silver Falls National Park, Oregon. This was my first time in Oregon so I had to make sure I planned accordingly for the weather at that time of year. It ended up being a sunny weekend with mild temps so we could fully enjoy our short stay there. The wedding was held at a cute campsite in the park, surrounded by lush evergreens and featured a warm fire at the center of the venue inside.
I knew I wanted a floral print for this occasion instead of my more usual solids, and even though the wedding was in spring I didn’t want a typical lighter color. I was being drawn to dark blue, green, and black floral dresses. I also knew it would still be chilly especially in the evening so opted for a long skirt as well. Even knowing all that I still needed help deciding! Shout out to those of you that voted over on Instagram to choose the final dress!
I knew I’d want a wrap for the cool evening and had this gold one I purchased several years ago that matched so well. From there I kept it simple, opting for a metallic gold clutch I had and gold earrings to match. Since the ceremony was held outside, I went for a wedge heel to give me a bit more stability and help keep my hem off the ground. I loved the neutral espadrille ones I ended up choosing.
